What We Do

Individual Talk Therapy

We provide individual therapy for adolescents, teenagers and adults in person and via telehealth. Common concerns include depression, anxiety, trauma, dissociation and challenging life events. Therapy sessions are typically 45-55 minutes.

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy is an extensively researched structured therapy, proven to help people recover from trauma. It is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with trauma memories and can be a helpful treatment for disorders such as anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain, addictions, PTSD and other distressing life events.

Mind

The mind is often overlooked in general healthcare, yet it plays an important role in health, healing and wellbeing. Taking care of our mind and our emotional health contributes to energy levels, healing time and overall physical health. Talk therapy can help you gain insight and develop tools to care for your emotional health, while therapies such as EMDR can help you to reprocess past experiences and live more fully in the present.

Body

By now, most people have heard that “The Body Keeps the Score.” Not as many people understand just how true this statement tends to be. With EMDR therapy the mind/brain – body connection is made clearer as you connect (or reconnect) to your emotions and body sensations. Traumatic experiences from the past are reprocessed in order to no longer be trapped in the body and feel more neutral.
